Lots of changes!

As some of you already know- WE’RE EXPECTING A *HUMAN* BABY!!!!!! (yes, adding human is much needed coming from me!) And don’t panic if you have me booked for your wedding!! Before I started booking for 2016, we decided we would start trying to start a family, timed it so if I got pregnant right away I would be 6 months at my last wedding of the year. I didn’t want to try planning around weddings-or have one booked when I end up being due. After lots of thought, for the time being I am not booking or shooting any weddings after this year. Now that we will have a little family I want to be able to enjoy weekends with everyone-can’t do that shooting every week. I will still be shooting sessions-although I will be keeping my schedule much less busy. As the same will go for this fall-if you are thinking of booking, the sooner the better! While this is one of the reasons I am getting out of weddings, there is still another one! Before starting my photo business, I really wanted to flip houses-always seemed fun. Not having the cash to start or starting during the market crash wasn’t going to work, so I moved on to the photo business. Throughout the years my husband and I have bought, fixed up and rented out a few properties, we decided to sell one of them to get a start to actually buying to flip. Flipping is a ton of work, it is hard to make time for photos when you are in the middle of one-especially when you add a baby to the mix. I am THRILLED to be able to start what I wanted to start years ago, yet don’t want to officially leave photography-I have met so many wonderful clients-some who are now friends:)We’ll see what the future brings, until then-I’m still here!

Anneka & Edward | 413 on Wacouta | Twin Cities Wedding Photographer

Last wedding of 2014!

These two had a lot of out of town guests-so having their ceremony and reception within walking distance in downtown St. Paul was perfect for everyone who came! They also allowed an amazing amount of time for photos of just them two. It’s great to be able to ‘relax’ with your new husband/wife on your day. You won’t realize it, but you are non-stop going from hair and makeup until your last dance, getting pulled this way and that from all of your guests on your wedding day. Even if it’s not walking around with your photographer, try to take even 5 minutes to ‘get away’ and enjoy each other!

Their reception was at 413 on Wacouta, I LOVE that place, everyone who works there is so very nice, and you are close to Mears Park, and all of those sweet old alleys. Another all time favorite, they had Green Mill cater-some of the best ‘wedding’ food I have had (and I have had a lot) and they are also super friendly to all of the vendors!

Amy & Josh | Twin Cities Engagement Photographer

You know when you see the most amazing sunset you just have to stop what you’re doing and take a photo? Well-this was one of those. This may be my favorite session of the year-because of that sunset..well along with the lighting working in our favor the entire time, and this couple was just way too easy to shoot.

Baby L | Twin Cities Newborn Photographer

I photographed this couple back when I was still with Bellagala! Awesome catching up with them during their session with their itty bitty newborn.

Diorelle & Olivia | Loews Hotel | Twin Cities Wedding Photographer

Absolute FAVORITE hotel to shoot at. Just changed to Loews from The Graves 601. I met Olivia through a friend years ago, I was thrilled when she told me they wanted me to shoot their wedding at this hotel! Besides being a bit on the cold & windy side, their wedding was perfect!
